Project Overview
Ohm × Aesop is a yoga-centered hospitality experience designed as a journey of self-discovery. The project creates an immersive retreat for advanced yoga practitioners, using architecture, materiality, and light to reconnect guests with the body, the earth, and inner awareness.
Aesop’s philosophy of restraint, imperfection, and sensory calm informs the spatial language—resulting in an intimate, grounded environment that redefines contemporary wellness hospitality.

Main Concept: Journey to Yourself
The spatial sequence is designed as a symbolic journey inward:
arrival → preparation → peak awareness → reflection → release.
Each stage is expressed through changes in enclosure, light, and material—guiding guests toward a heightened connection between body and mind.

Plans & Sections
The plans organize public and private spaces along a gradual spatial gradient, separating active communal zones from quiet, introspective spaces. Sections emphasize grounded massing, low ceilings, and controlled openings to reinforce a sense of protection and calm.

Operative & Circulation Strategy
Circulation follows a one-way, continuous loop that minimizes distraction and encourages slow movement. Programmatic separation supports privacy while maintaining a cohesive experiential flow across the site.

Material Palette
Natural, tactile materials—such as clay plaster, stone, wood, linen, and concrete—create an earthy, grounded atmosphere. Subtle translucency and warm tones enhance sensory calm while allowing light to gently animate the space.
Digital Extension — Hotel App
The mobile app extends the physical experience by guiding guests through schedules, scent maps, yoga programs, and site exploration—supporting a seamless wellness journey before, during, and after their stay.
